So, grab your favorite mug, pour yourself a comforting brew, and let's dive into the delightful tale of coffee bean discovery.

Once Upon A Time In Ethiopia...

Our story begins in the enchanting landscapes of Ethiopia, where legend has it, the magic of coffee was first discovered. Picture this: lush, green highlands, vibrant wildlife, and a young goat herder named Kaldi. One ordinary day, Kaldi noticed something extraordinary - his goats, usually calm and collected, were dancing around energetically after nibbling on some bright red berries from a particular bush.

Curious and a tad adventurous, Kaldi decided to try these mysterious berries himself. And, lo and behold, he too felt an unprecedented burst of energy. Amazed by this discovery, Kaldi shared his findings with a local monk, who concocted a drink from the berries that kept him alert through the long hours of evening prayer.

Spreading The Word: A Bean's Journey

Word of this energizing berry spread like wildfire, first across the monasteries of Ethiopia and then beyond its borders. The beans traveled along trade routes to the Arabian Peninsula, where they truly began to shine. It was in places like Yemen that coffee, as we know it, started to take shape. The beans were not only chewed but also brewed into a potent and aromatic drink. The city of Mocha in Yemen became synonymous with coffee, and "Mocha" coffee still pays homage to its rich heritage.
